This young lady is such a delight. She engages you in laughter and always brings a gift, it is her smile. As I’ve watched her mature, she has chosen not to leave all her childish behavior behind, and it is good. A sense of humor will carry you in times of trouble. Laughter is healthy.

Her new husband is also a jolly sort. I laughed more at him and his groomsmen than I expected to. It was refreshing. It’s not hard to make me laugh or to see the humorous side of things, so I had to really focus at times. Funny occurrences were sprinkled throughout making it seem light and enjoyable. I think everyone had a great time.

Weddings can be a lot of work, even for the bride and groom. Family and friends pitched in and helped, which I think, allowed for the peaceful feeling that blanketed us during this special event.

The “Ring Bearer” was resting on the steps until it was his turn.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem January 14, 2009

Right out of the Holy Scriptures, (the Bible itself), David sings of his love for Jerusalem.

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.

Our feet shall stand within thy gates, O Jerusalem.

Jerusalem is builded as a city that is compact together.

Whither the tribes go up, the tribes of the Lord, unto the testimony of Israel, to give thanks unto the name of the Lord.

For there are set thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.

Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces.

For my brethren and companion’s sake, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek thy good.” Psalms 122

I consider David to be credible. I feel comfortable when reading the book of Psalms, to believe its words, all of them. I also know that Jesus, Yeshua, my Messiah, was born, lived, and was crucified in the land of Israel. His death was an actual gift of life to me. That prophecy was fulfilled. There are still prophecies to be fulfilled. Many have yet to hear the gospel, many have yet to believe that Jesus, Yeshua, is the Son of God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Israel).

Imagine King David here today. I believe that he would roll up his sleeves, and defend his people and his land. What about Jesus, Yeshua? “And the Redeemer shall come up to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 59:20 “I bring near my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.” Isaiah 46:13 I don’t think Jesus, Yeshua, is returning to attend negotiations that include giving more of HIS land to the Palestinians or any other country.

With all of that said, a group rallied for the support of Israel in downtown Nashville, TN this past Sunday. It was cold, but there was an enthusiastic bunch attending that warmed my heart. Their dedication was evident as they stood together and prayed for Israel. They spoke out against the lies that are being portrayed in the media, and they voiced their support for their brothers and sisters in the land. It was wonderful, it was peaceful, and it was encouraging.

Here are a few shots from the event:

“I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: yet that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Isaiah 62:6,7

Intimate Wedding January 8, 2009

My memories of this young man go back to when he was much younger. We were on a home school field trip, waiting to board a train. Completely focused on their hands, he and his brother skillfully maneuvered the yo-yos like they were extensions of themselves.

Now, he is focused on the other hand that embraces his. He has found his mate for life and I was blessed to capture the tender moments as they crossed over to oneness. She was who he prayed for. Their testimony is very inspiring and God’s timing is perfect.

I enjoyed interacting with her family. Even though we had just met, they were sweet and easy going. I hope to see more of them in the future. (They live in another state.)

His family is wonderful and I have to admit, I got a little teary-eyed when I saw his mother. She was happy and sad at the same time. Weddings are like that, aren’t they?
